APMCTI
The Panamanian Association of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care (APMCTI) was founded on July 25, 1981, with legal status recognized by public deed No. 2653 of March 5, 1982.
It is a medical group established as a non-profit civil association headquartered in Panama City, Republic of Panama.

Its objectives are:
01
Bring together doctors, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, and other related professionals, who, within their specialty, demonstrate an interest in the area of Critical Medicine and work, preferentially or exclusively, in the area of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Therapy;
02
Promote and spread the study of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care to members, as well as to non-members as often as possible;
03
Organize and participate in congresses, conferences, seminars, round tables, and other national and international academic activities, on topics of interest in the field of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care;
04
Promote academic exchange with national or foreign societies;
05
Promote research studies related to Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care;
06
Create within the Association the necessary commissions, in accordance with the progress of Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care;
07
Conduct medical-social education and outreach activities for the benefit of the community;
08
Promote the publication of topics related to Critical Care Medicine;
09
Supervise and evaluate the practice of Critical Care Medicine across the country.
